Audi aims to sell 3,000 A6 Avants in 2005 - 15/04/2005

Audi UK has announced that it aims to sell some 3,000 units of its newly relaunched A6 Avant model, and a further 5,500 in 2006.

Sales of the A6 Avant estate have soared in recent years, from 25 per cent of all A6 sales in 1997 to some 61 per cent today of all Audi A6's today.

Some half a million Audi A6 Avants have been sold worldwide since the car's last redesign eight years ago.

The 2005 redesign sees the car appointed with a choice of two petrol V6 engines (2.4-litre and 3.6-litre) and two diesel engines (2.7-litre and 3.0-litre) as well as the option of a V8 4.2-litre petrol.

Unsurprisingly for an estate car, the A6 Avant is especially well equipped for storage, offering some 1,600 litre capacity, as well as a range of new features that ensures both the ease and the efficiency of storage have been maximised, with a whole range of bar and belt securing devices coming fitted as standard for example.
