Nissan unveils five new products - 20/04/2005


Nissan has launched five new brands at a one-off "SHIFT_" launch event in Shanghai.

The new models were revealed to be the Nissan Tiiga compact sedan, the Nissan Tiida hatchback, the Nissan Fuga luxury sedan, the Quest minivan and the 350Z sports coupe.

Nissan emphasised the spaciousness, the comfort and the performance capacity of both Tiida models. A 1.6-litre all-aluminium petrol engine offers a powerfully smooth drive and comes with a spacious interior that is fitted out to a high standard on all models.

The cars are the latest instalment in Nissan's Value-Up project, which is a three-year business plan for fiscal years 2005-2997,

As Nissan seeks to expand its hold in the far-eastern markets, China will play an important part in realising these goals.

By the end of the Value-Up project, it is expected that 500,000 units will be sold in China, which will make China the third largest car market in the world for Nissan.
