More praise for Citroen's safety measures - 04/03/2005
Citroen's investment in new and affordable safety technology is clearly paying dividends, as its new Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) scooped the innovation award at the Geneva Motor Show.
The award was voted for by Europe's largest publishing group (of which Auto Express is a member), and the LDWS device saw off competition from Audi, BMW and Volvo.
This is the latest in a long line of accolades to have been heaped upon Citroen's cars lately.
Readers of Auto Express magazine recently voted its C4 model to be their Car of the Year.
The car manufacturer says that the award is recognition of its traditional investment in new technologies.
"Innovation through technology has always been a Citroen hallmark, and in the case of LDWS the benefit is potentially life saving," said Alain Favey, managing director of Citroen UK Ltd.
