With diesels getting more popular Peugeot have been putting increasing resources into the development of their oil burners. The new Peugeot 206 CC and new 307 CC HDi models the only convertible diesels fitted with a diesel particulate emission filter (FAP).
The manufacture claims that its "comprehensive range of HDi diesel powered cars not only requires fewer visits to the filling station than a petrol car, but also when fitted with a particulate emission filter (FAP) provides added protection for the environment."

The 206 CC has been the UK's best-selling convertible each year since its launch three years ago.
The new diesel version is equipped with a 1.6 litre HDi engine, capable of producing 110 bpm.
The 206 HDi CC is at once dynamic and economic, able to go from nought to 62 mph in 10.2 seconds whilst offering 57.6 mpg on the combined cycle.
It is set to be unveiled at next week's Geneva International Motor Show.
The 206 CC was the first car to bring an electric folding roof to the mass market. Indeed, it was Peugeot who first developed such technology, for its classic 1933 model, the 401 Eclipse.
The 206 range starts at only £14,920 for the 1.6 litre S, going up to £15,995 for the Allure 2.0 litre with leather interior as standard.
