Ford overhauls new Mondeo- 13/04/2005

Ford has announced that its best-selling Mondeo model is to be radically overhauled for 2005.

The Mondeo 2005 will be significantly updated both within and without, with the introduction of Ford's new Accessible Technology in the cockpit and new features like the Durashift six-speed manual enhancing its performance.

Not only will it be updated inside and out, but the Mondeo fleet is set to be expanded.

Exceptional customer demand has led to the addition of Titanium and Titanium X models to the regular range alongside the Ghia and Ghia X.

The large car brand manager of Ford Britain Jon Gunn-Smith welcomed the addition as a significant move aimed at keeping the Mondeo in the top-ten best-selling cars in Britain, a position it has occupied for the last 12 years.

Mr Gunn-Smith commented: "We believe these latest changes, the addition of new technology and a new series in Titanium provide customers with an overwhelming choice of value, luxury or performance."
