The new 2019 Nissan Micra Acenta is packed with standard equipment including the new Nissan Connect touchscreen infotainment system that is up there with the best infotainment systems in this segment. The infotainment/touchscreen entertainment system comes with with sat nav, DAB radio and smartphone integration, including Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth support.

The Micra is also up there with class leaders when it comes to the amount and quality of safety features too, it boasts some of the best and latest safety tech available in any rival small cars.

The Micra's exterior styling has had a complete make-over and it really looks the part now, on a par with rivals in our opinion. In the past it's looks could have been described as quirky or an acquired taste. The new looks are in a small way due to the completely resized vehicle its 1.74m longer, wider and lower which adds to the stonger looks and deliver much more cabin and boot space than older models.

Engine Range

    2019 changes and additions to the engine line-up:

• A new 1.0 litre petrol IG-T (100 PS) engine with Xtronic (automatic transmission)
• A new more powerful 1.0 litre IG-T (100 PS) with 5-speed manual transmission
• A new range-topping DIG-T 117 turbocharged petrol engine with manual  gearbox (6-speed)

 

Available engines include the much anticpated and new to the engine line-up, the 1.0 IG-T Xtronic (automatic transmission) model, its a CVT unit with D-Step technology which makes acceleration and downshifting a much smoother experience than in traditional automatics.

The new 1.0 IG-T petrol engine is also available wth a 5-speed manual transmission (replacing the outgoing IG-T 90). The new IG-T 100 delivers improved acceleration and power (+10PS) over the old IG-T 90 engine, whilst at the same time delivering better emissions (around 15g/km less) and improvements in combined fuel economy figures from 47mpg to over 50mpg.

A new 1.0 DIG-T 117 turbocharge petrol engine with 6-speed manual gearbox represents a more powerful option, it accelerates from 0-62mph in 9.9 seconds (a second faster than the 1.0 IG-T with manual transmission).
