More customers are personalising the New Nissan Micra than ever before
Nissan dealers around Europe are reporting that more people than ever before are opting for personalisation options on the all-new Nissan Micra. Around 25% are choosing to enhance the car’s design with additional exterior and interior options.
This news has landed just as Nissan reveals a new video showing the ‘hand-finished’ nature of adding exterior personalisation parts to the all-new Nissan Micra. The ‘behind-the-scenes’ footage focuses on the attention to detail which goes into the Micra’s personalisation program, guaranteeing high-quality results every time.
Research from first buyers of new Nissan Micra has revealed that over half are attracted by the dynamic design of the car. This characteristic is the number main reason for people opting for the new Micra.
Nissan say that – “when it comes to the personalisation, Nissan’s offer to customers is second to none.” Nissan offer more than 100 combinations, for both the exterior and interior of the New Micra and in a variety of different colours.
Just under a quarter of customers are choosing to personalise the exterior of the new Micra. Customisable components include bumper finishers, body side mouldings, alloy wheels, door mirror caps and all-new decals applied to the bonnet and roof. Energy Orange looks to be the most popular exterior colour choice for Nissan customers, followed closely by Enigma Black, Vibrant Chrome then Power Blue.
Exterior personalisation is most popular in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Enigma Black looks to be the most popular in those countries, and also in Italy too. Vibrant Chrome is most popular in Italy and the UK, while Energy Orange is big hit in France and Spain.
Personalisation of the Micra’s interior is even more popular than the exterior, with over a quarter of customers modifying their car’s cabin. Across Europe, interior personalisation is most popular in Italy. Energy Orange is the number one colour, followed by Power Blue and Invigorating Red.
Nissan has also revealed the colour combination that is proving most popular across the whole of Europe. The answer is Dark Grey with Energy Orange personalisation inside and out.
Numbers for exterior and interior car personalisations are higher than originally forecast by Nissan. Affordability has driven demand, with customers spending on average about £360 to get the personalised design they want.
Helen Perry, General Manager, Small Cars, Nissan Europe, said: “The personalisation program for the all-new Nissan Micra was created to allow customers to express their individual character and design flair when their buy their car. Feedback from retailers has highlighted that the mix of fantastic choice and affordability for personalisation means it’s more popular than we expected.”
Nissan has announced that new options will be added to the Micra’s personalisation strategy during the lifecycle of the car, to further entice customers who want to express their personality through their new Nissan Micra.
