Renualt are looking to drive sales through improving car quality and greater offers
Renault has recently vowed to bounce back from a difficult couple of years in the UK market, looking to double its current market share.
"Our brand and activity has slightly declined, and not only because of the market but because of some performance issues, and we have to try and restore the efficiency of the system and try and catch a higher market share in this region," Jerome Stoll, Renault's European sales and marketing and corporate sales boss told Business Car.
Renault's fleet market share has plunged from 8.8 per cent in 2004 to 2 per cent for the first nine months of 2009, and Mr Stoll is looking for an upturn.
Mr Stoll also defended Renault's presence in the upper medium sector, despite the new Laguna's poor performance. He said: "It is unfortunate to see the absence of success for Laguna. The new one is completely different, I think we did our job in terms of quality and product."
UK Car Discount agree. The new Renault Laguna is a very different car to drive. At UK Car Discount, Laguna prices start from £14,555 for a new car, with savings of just under £5,000 available on some models, such as the RENAULT LAGUNA DIESEL SPORT TOURER 2.0 dCi
And don't forget, if you want to get your new 10 plate on a Renault, order as soon as possible and you can still take advantage of the lower rate of VAT if the car is paid for before the end of the year.
