Citroen has revealed price and specification details for its new C1 city car which is due to go on sale in the UK in July.
The new Citroen C1 range, which comes in no less than eight body colours including four metallic options, will start at £8,245, upwards to £11,935, with three and five door variations available. Customers will also have three wheel designs and four interior upholstery finishes to choose from.
Additionally, Citroen is including a convertible model called the Airscape, which has a fabric roof and will be available in three colours. The standard specification on the entry C1 includes ABS, EBA, ESP, power steering, remote central locking, electric front windows, six airbags, an MP3 compatible audio system and LED daytime running lights.
The mid-range Model of the Citroen C1 has air conditioning, DAB digital radio, seven-inch Touch Drive interface with Mirror Screen technology and steering mounted controls, along with body-coloured door mirrors and door handles.
The top of the range Flair models have sport 15-inch 'Planet' alloy wheels and extra features including a speed limiter, rev counter, reversing camera, electrically-heated and adjustable door mirrors, a leather steering wheel and dark tinted rear windows.
While boasting up to three well-specified models – The touch, Feel and Flair – the C1 will also have the latest-generation three-cylinder petrol engines: the VTi 68 and VTi 82.
The new VTi 68 will be available with a five-speed manual or five-speed clutchless Efficient Tronic Gearbox (ETG), with a stop-start equipped e-VTi 68 Airdream equipped with just a five-speed manual. Elsewhere, Citroën's latest three-cylinder 'PureTech' VTi 82 engine is only available with a five-speed manual transmission.
The optional extras will include automatic air conditioning, automatic headlights, keyless entry and start, plus styling details such as black leather upholstery and various interior colour packs.
