New Renault Mégane E-Tech Release Date & Specs

The Megane E-Tech is an all-new full electric Renault model, although it bares the Megane badge is in fact now a trendy looking SUV /Crossover. Due to the ever-increasing demand for popular Crossovers/SUVs it seems a sensible route for Renault to take.
Thanks to a Nissan-Renault alliance the new Megane E-Tech Crossover shares its platform with the equally, if not more eye-catching full electric Nissan Ariya SUV.
Capable of 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds, it has a range of up to 280 miles and a charge of approx. 70% can be achieved in around 35 minutes using a fast charger.
The eagerly anticipated new model should be available in the UK in Autumn 2022.
Megane E-Tech Trim Levels
The new Megane E-Tech will be available in three trim-levels: the Equilibre, Techno, and Launch Edition, the Launch Edition will be available in limited numbers.
All models are well equipped and feature twin digital screens (a 12.3-inch driver display and a 9-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment screen).
The entry-level Equilibre model includes 18-inch alloy wheel, LED headlights, heated front seats/steering wheel, manual air con and 8-colour interior ambient lighting.
Standard driver aids include rear park assist, rear view camera, distance warning alert, emergency brake assist, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping technology, cruise control with speed limiter and traffic sign recognition.
The 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system features 4 speakers and smartphone’s mirroring, so you can use your favourite apps via the infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
The Techno model builds on the entry-level spec with 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, rear signature lights and dynamic indicators.
Inside the Techno model's upholstery is made from recycled materials and synthetic leather. Ambient lighting can be configured for 48 different colours and for additional comfort there is dual-zone climate control. You also get automatic (rain-sensing) windscreen wipers and wireless phone charging for compatible smartphones.
The 9-inch infotainment system is upgraded with integrated navigation, Google Services, and 6-speakers.
Additional driver aids include customisable drive modes, adaptive cruise control. blind spot alert/intervention and rear cross traffic alert with rear automatic braking.
The top-grade Launch Edition features 20-inch alloy wheels, a gold F1® blade, inside it gets a premium Harman Kardon sound system with 9-speakers, a smart rear-view mirror, and an around-view 3D camera system.
