The New Megane is the 11th Renault model to be awarded 5* rating, which proves that Renault regard safety as the priority across their range. See cheap new Renault Megane.
Examples of some of the safety features on the New Megane include,
· Twin side-impact sensors, first seen on the Laguna 3
· Six airbags, including two twin-chamber thorax/groin airbags
· Renault System for Restraint and Protection
· New generation headrests to protect the neck vertebrae on impact
Renault has also spent a lot of time researching Child Safety. The New Megane was awarded 4* out of 5 in the Euro NCAP rating. This is one of the highest scores in the market. Isofix anchorage points are fitted to the rear of the car on both the left and right hand seats to ensure that child safety and booster seats are held secure and safe.
ABS, Emergency Brake Distribution, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with Anti-Skid Regulation (ASR) and additional understeer control, all come as standard on the New Megane.
