Vauxhall has updated the Mokka-e and Corsa-e, the full electric versions of their namesakes to increase overall range on a full charge.

The Corsa-e range has been extended to 222 miles (WLTP) up from 209 miles, whilst the Mokka-e increases to 209 miles (WLTP), previously 201 miles.

The gains have been achieved through a more efficient heat pump, which controls the vehicle’s interior heating/air con/climate control system. Other contributing factors are a new transmission reducer, which adjusts the number of revolutions of the motor and conveys those revolutions to the wheels.

Both the Mokka-e and Corsa-e get new A+ rated low-rolling resistance tyres (17-inch and 16-inch respectively) which also increase efficiency.

The Corsa-e and Mokka-e, also benefit from Vauxhall’s new ‘Plug & Go’ package which includes a free home charger, eight years battery warranty/roadside assistance, three years free servicing and a free six-month BP Pulse membership.

The Mokka is Vauxhall’s funky and extremely eye-catching small crossover, formerly it was a somewhat (frankly) dated looking MPV, Vauxhall gave the Mokka a complete overhaul  and new identity.

The Corsa is one of the UK’s most popular cars and the 2021 has been the best-selling new car in the UK this year.

Vauxhall say they will have an electrified variant across the entire model line-up by 2024 and will have a complete electric vehicle range by 2028. This should mean they will be ahead of the government’s deadline of 2030  where only new EV (and qualifying plug-in hybrids) cars will be sold in the UK.
