2021 Vauxhall Mokka-e Trim Levels & Specs Compared
Published Date: 6th Feb 2021
The Mokka-e is Vauxhall’s full electric version of the all-new and completely revamped 2021 Mokka. Formerly, the model was more of a MPV with what might be considered dated looks.
Enter the new Vauxhall Mokka which has been completely restyled and re-invented, the result is a very cool and funky looking SUV/crossover.
The Mokka-e combines a 134bhp motor with a 50kWh battery and it can deliver a range of up to 201 miles (WLTP). It feels nippy enough too, 0-62mph is achievable in a fraction over 9 seconds, you will need to put the vehicle in Sport mode to get the brisk acceleration and bear in mind it will affect your range, for most circumstances Normal or Eco mode is going to be the preferred option. The Mokka-e also has a button that helps you control how much brake regeneration is in use too. Switch modes and the range displayed in the digital driver panel will be instantly updated.
The Mokka-e supports fast charging with a 100kW charger meaning you can have the battery 80% charged in 30 minutes, useful for pit stops on long journeys. Charging at home connected to a standard 7.4kW home charger should take around 9 hours. It comes with a Mode 3 cable as standard if you need a 3-pin charging cable then you’ll need to purchase one separately, a 7kW home wallbox is the way to go and the government plug-in grant should help you cover most of the cost.
Other benefits of going electric include running costs from as little as 3p per mile, 0% benefit-In-Kind for company car drivers (2021), an 8-year battery warranty and exemption from congestion and low emissions zone charges.
Available in four trim levels, SE Nav Premium, SRi Nav Premium, Elite Nav Premium and a limited run Launch Edition the new Mokka-e is already proving to be a big success as part of Vauxhall’s expanding range of hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric cars.
All models get what Vauxhall call the ‘Pure Panel’ digital driver display and a touchscreen infotainment system which is set into the dash, it gives the driver a real hi-tech cockpit feel. SRi trim and above get a larger driver display and 10-inch touchscreen which impressive. If you want the full cockpit experience you’ll need to skip the entry-level model for the bigger displays.
