2022 Audi A4 - What’s New
Published Date: 17th Mar 2022
The popular Audi A4, a direct rival for other premium badged cars like the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class has seen some updates for 2022. You can check out our latest Audi A4 deals here and compare specs.
The updates are more evolution than revolution, with subtle exterior styling updates, more efficient engines and updated interior tech.
2022 A4 Exterior
The exterior updates are subtle, one of the most notable is new front and rear all LED lights, front and rear bumpers also get a subtle makeover, with S Line models getting some silver trim to finish them off. At the front there is also a new ‘sporty’ looking vent that sits above the honeycomb grille and Audi badge.
As you look at the new A4 from the side, you’ll notice Audi have added some ‘creases’ that run from the rear/front bumpers to their respective doors. Of course, design tweaks are always subjective, but we think the they improved the look of the A4.
Model specific changes include new 19-inch 'five-arm flag design' gloss anthracite black Audi Sport alloy wheels for A4 and S4 Black Edition models. There are also some additional dashes of black gloss exterior trim for these models including black badging/Audi rings and a black boot-mounted spoiler.
S-Line and Black Edition models get new leather and Dinamica microfibre upolstery, while the S4 Black Edition and S4 Avant Black Edition, keep full Nappa leather upholstery.
2022 A4 Interior
Inside the 2022 A4 at first glance there is little difference, and it’s no bad thing. The interior is solid, the design is clean and tidy, build quality is excellent and it feels premium with plenty of soft touch finishes.
The main changes inside are to the center console design and an updated infotainment system with 10-inch screen that couples with the 12.3-inch digital driver display.
The new center console in black gloss is notably missing the rotary swivel wheel as the new infotainment system is controlled by touch and swipe gestures.
Amazon Alexa integration is now standard across the whole A4 range bringing advanced voice control and the Smartphone integration has been improved to include wireless connectivity Android phone connectivity in addition to the wireless iOS support.
Model specific updates include a head-up display as a standalone option for the RS 4 Avant. It can project navigation and other driver information onto the windscreen for additional safety, so the driver is not averting their eyes from the road whilst driving.
