New Seat Ibiza Models

Published Date: 6th Oct 2008

Seat is set to introduce two new versions of its updated Ibiza range at the Paris Motor Show this October - the Ecomotive and the Cupra.

The Ecomotive will be the greenest in the Ibiza range.    This is the next generation Ecomotive with modifications to the engine, gearbox and gear ratios.  It has a 80PS 1.4 TDI engine with diesel particulate filter and it has low CO2 emissions of just 99g/km which will qualify it for free road fund licence.

At the other end of the scale, the new model Ibiza Cupra is a 180PS 1.4 petrol engine with a supercharger which improves both fuel efficiency and power delivery.    With a sporty look like the SportCoupe (SC) 3-door body shape, the Cupra has distinctive styling features including 17” alloy wheels, a rear diffuser with a central trapezoid exhaust pipe, Cupra sports seats plus aluminium pedals.
