New Seat Ibiza Ecomotive

Seat has launched a new ‘green’ model at the Frankfurt Motor Show – the Seat Ibiza Ecomotive. Set to arrive in the UK next year, the new Ibiza Ecomotive combines a sporty 4-seater hatchback with green credentials.

This new model uses the VW Polo BlueMotion 1.4 litre TDi engine combined with Dunlop tyres to produce less friction plus a longer gear ratio to achieve 74.3mpg whilst emitting just 99g/km CO2. It is likely to reach 0-60mph in 12.8 seconds and have a top speed of 109mph.

With its low emission rating, the new Seat Ibiza Ecomotive would qualify to avoid London congestion charges plus it would fit into the tax-exempt VED Band ‘A’.

Prices for the new Seat Ibiza Ecomotive will be announced nearer its arrival next year but it is predicted to be significantly cheaper than the new VW Polo BlueMotion model.
