Renault Captur 2014

reanult captur exteriorThe new Renault Captur is the latest vehicle to enter the ever evolving and growing Urban Crossover sector and looks a serious 2014 challenger to the Nissan Juke. The Captur offers the elevated driving position customer love and with good equipment levels, decent practicality and the impressive French flair and refinement means Renault may just have a winner on their hands.

If you are looking for a stylish, small hatchback but with the high up driving position the Renault Captur may just be the car for you.

At the moment there are ten new Renault Captur models in a mixture of Petrol and Diesel engines available:

Captur Crossover 0.9 TCe 90 Expression 5dr

Captur Crossover 1.5 dCi 90 Dynamique S Media Nav 5dr

Captur Crossover 1.2 TCe 120 Dynamique S Media Nav 5dr

The captur is based on the new Renault Clio estate platform and is certainly a good looking car and customers can add a duo-tone roof and body option so your vehicle will stand out from the crowd even more.

The petrol Renault Captur is a small petrol turbo engine, which drives through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The 120ps unit has the legs for twisting country roads while also proving to be very smooth for motorway driving.

The diesel unit is a 90bhp dCI engine which is remarkably smooth and refined, although it becomes a bit boomy on long uphill roads, as with many diesel engines the driver needs to stay on the ball and drop down a ratio to keep the car moving. It can manage a relaxed 12.6sec 0-62mph time but the upside is a claimed combined fuel economy of 76.4mpg, which should mean a not to be sniffed at 60mpg in the real world.

Overall, the New 2014 Renault Captur is a stylish addition to the Urban Crossover market and has a good mix of engines and trims for the price and we feel it’s going to prove a popular alternative to the more established Nissan Juke.
