Honda has launched a new TV advert to showcase its new fuel efficient CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC on sale now in the UK.

New Honda CR-V 1.6 i-DtecThe campaign aims to tackle misconceptions’ about new SUV vehicles by emphasising the combination of qualities the new CR-V model delivers.

The Honda CR-V was one of the first compact SUV vehicles ever to go on sale and offers excellent practicality, a high driving position, excellent driver vision, generous cabin space and a massive boot (1669 litres) for a car in its class.

The all-new Honda 1.6 i-DTEC CR-V is built at Honda's UK facility in Swindon alongside the Civic and Jazz and it makes the perfect family car for around town driving and offers the comfort, space and practicality for families on longer journeys too.

The new 1.6 i-DTEC engine is available across the full range of trim-levels with the exception of the top of the range new Honda CR-V  EX models and it adds another string to the bow of the CR-V range which traditionally had been exclusively 4WD fuel heavy vehicles.

With the huge demand for more fuel efficient cars and lower emissions the 1.6 iDTEC with manual transmission meets the demands of the consumer and offers competition for other SUV’s offering similar 2WD frugal SUV options. It offers a respectable 0-62mph in just a tad over 11 seconds and a top speed of 113mph whilst delivering a combined fuel economy of over 60mpg and CO2 emissions of just 119g/km.
