New 2017 Nissan Qashqai Release

Nissan has unveiled the new Qashqai crossover, with significant enhancement of the car’s premium character.

Nissan has revealed the new Qashqai crossover, with stand-out upgrades of the car’s premium feel. The Nissan Qashqai’s upgrades are set on a brand new exterior design idea, the importance of interior quality and a new level of driving performance. Nissan’s new Intelligent Mobility technology has been added too, this continues Nissan’s journey to zero emissions and zero fatalities in their cars. The new Nissan Qashqai will have the option of ProPILOT autonomous driving capability for 2017. This new feature will control the steering, acceleration and braking while you’re in a single lane on motorways. The new ProPILOT aims to provide potential consumers with a more confident drive, upgraded control and more freedom during heavy congestion and while cruising at high speeds.

Exterior upgrades

Nissan will compliment the interior upgrades with the Qashqai’s exterior design enhancements, while offering premium dynamic styling. The design changes include a completely re-designed front end, with the addition of the new Nissan V-motion grille. There is a new bumper and clam-shell to admire, with light clusters and better styling between the LED and halogen lights. Both get a new version of the boomerang shaped Daytime Running Lights. The new lamps add to the car’s premium appeal, with the new adaptive front lighting system that improves night-time vision.

From the back, you can recognise the Qashqai very quickly as soon as you clock the boomerang lights. This new lighting is spread across the whole lamp, and also includes a Nissan first 3D lens effect to enhance the shape of the boomerang.

New colours chosen by Nissan to be added to the Qashqai’s colour palette are Vivid Blue and Chestnut; they are vibrant and stand out from the rest while aiming to boost the car’s premium feel.

Interior enhancements

Nissan have put much focus in improving the feel of the cabin in the new Qashqai, where you will see an improved layout, premium-quality materials and loads of tech. This is all designed to put The New Nissan Qashqai back to the number one spot for desirability.

The new top-of-range Tekna+ grade has new seats trimmed in highest quality nappa leather and luxury 3D quilting in between on the centre panels. The new Qashqai also benefits from a newly-designed D-shaped steering wheel with added satin-chrome inserts to give a more premium look. This steering wheel features the new four-way controller for the combination meter display, which helps with intuitive use and provides more eyes on the road time.

The centre console has a new NissanConnect infotainment system, which features a new DAB digital radio and satellite navigation system coupled with a new user interface.

The newest option for music enthusiasts is a state-of-the-art BOSE seven-speaker premium sound system. This new BOSE system provides a more complete audio experience and the option to personalise your in-car experience.

A More confident drive

Nissan has always been known for its confident drive, but thanks to a few new improvements, the latest Nissan to hit the shelves maintains an outstanding handling performance. There are tweaks to the suspension, damping and steering systems that result in an even more exciting driving experience.

Materials that absorb sounds have been improved on the new Qashqai, thicker rear glass has resulted in a reduction in cabin noise from the engine, road and wind. There are newly-designed 17, 18 and 19-inch alloy wheels available for choose from that will be aerodynamically optimised to give the maximum efficiency.

Even with all the new enhancements, the Nissan Qashqai’s sleek performance hasn’t been compromised at all. It will hold on to its segment-leading drag coefficient of 0.31, and continue as class leader on C02 emissions, with just 99g/km from Nissan’s 1.5-litre dCi 110 diesel unit. The Latest Nissan Intelligent Mobility Technology

Ever since the release in 2007, the Qashqai has been at the forefront of Japanese car-maker’s aim to deliver Intelligent Driving technology, while enhancing drivers’ feelings of safety and being in control. This commitment still exists through the new 2017 Nissan Qashqai model.

There is a new Intelligent Emergency Braking system that is being upgraded, complete with Pedestrian Recognition. Also, you get Rear Cross Traffic Alert, to reduce the chance of a low-speed incident when reversing out of a parking space. This will be available on Qashqai for the first time ever. As with the current Qashqai, it will still be be offered with Traffic Sign Recognition, Driver Attention Alert, Intelligent Park Assist, Intelligent Around View Monitor, Blind Spot Warning and Lane Departure Warning.
