New Ford Fiesta Ecoboost
Published Date: 4th Apr 2013
The new Ford Fiesta has been voted best small car in 2013 by CarBuyer the sister site of Auto Express. The Ford Fiesta has been the UK’s favourite car for the last four years with no signs of it flagging just yet!
The SMMT (The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) reports new car registrations for January and February 2013 are extremely healthy and although the Fiesta’s big brother the Focus topped sales for February just pipping the Fiesta, the Ford Fiesta is still comfortably the UK’s best selling new car for the first two months of 2013. Rival Supermini manufacturer’s are going to have to work extremely hard to to take the throne away from the Fiesta!
The latest new Ford Fiesta has been warmly received by critics and Ford have also added a new Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost engine to the range. The new engine comes in either a 79BHP or a a 99bhp option, the latter helps the Fiesta do 0-62mph in 11.2 seconds and achieve a top speed of 114mph. Great news on efficiency and economy with tax-exemption thanks to its 99g/km CO2 output, and with a reported fuel economy of 65.7mpg we're sure it will be a very popular new option.
