Ford Set To Launch The Kuga
Published Date: 30th Jul 2007
The new Ford Kuga has been developed by Ford using their ‘kinetic design’ which has already been seen in the new Ford Mondeo model and the Ford S-Max. It will be based on a 4-wheel drive version of the Ford Focus C-Max platform and will be Ford’s first European compact 4x4 – looking to compete against the likes of the very popular Toyota RAV4.
The Kuga will use the 5-cylinder turbocharged unit from the Ford Focus ST and a hybrid version is likely to arrive later.
Ford will be building the Kuga in Germany and hope to produce around 60,000 models each year. Prices are likely to start at around £18,000.
