Ford Joins Forces With Harrods

Published Date: 22nd Dec 2005

Ford has joined forces with Harrods to bring a New Year treat to shopaholics at the January sales.

Students from the London Camberwell College of Arts will be painting miniature plaster models of the cheap new car, which will then be placed on a conveyor belt and placed on display.

The models will fit onto a grid, with customers able to participate with the artists by phoning them to suggest directions for the artwork as it evolves.

"This idea is a great way to reflect the vitality and freshness of the new 2006 Ford Fiesta," said Steve Hood, Ford of Britain's marketing director.

"Fiesta is Britain's favourite small car and the latest version has a very contemporary styling inside and out. Its now available with a whole set of interesting colour choices and lots of new-technology options, including satellite navigation and voice control," he added.
