AA urges drivers to shop around

AA personal loans has urged drivers to shop around before settling on their chosen new car finance deal.

Although a quarter of respondents in AA's survey claimed they had already saved sufficient money for a new purchase, 18 per cent will use personal loans and almost one in ten will use forecourt finance.

Furthermore, of the buyers who do take out personal loans, many worryingly choose the first deal they are presented with.

Lloyd East, general manager of AA Personal Loans, commented: "Whilst many people will shop around for their ideal car - looking at different makes and models - it?s clear they don?t do the same when it comes to finance."

He hence urged consumers to consider their options carefully before settling on a deal, especially given the range of new car finance deals open to them.
