Weight is shed in other areas too; every bit helps with subtle performance gains including the omission of a rear wiper.
This new high-performance John Copper Works GP model also features the lightest ever 18-inch wheels seen on a MINI, built from high-strength, super-lightweight alloy.
More Grip, Sports Tuning and Exhilarating Handling

A new diffuser on the rear bumper, carefully designed and crafted for this new MINI also helps delivers more downforce and grip. The aggressive rear spoiler and side skirts reduce drag and promote aerodynamics.
The large vents/intakes in the front bumper along with a secondary air cooler combine to help direct air towards and cool the engine and brakes.
A Power Packed Engine To Match The Sports Handling
The John Cooper Works GP is powered by a sports-tuned front-wheel driven, 2.0 litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and somewhat surprisingly, automatic transmission with paddle shifts.
The 8-speed automatic transmission features a torque sensing limited slip differential for optimised acceleration, grip and handling.
The powertrain produces up to 306bhp and 450Nm of torque, in its fastest guise it can get you from 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds.
The new 2.0-litre engine has seen a range of upgrades including a new crankshaft, pistons, exhaust system and a bigger turbocharger, all combining to produce more grunt.
Aggressive Looks To Match The Performance
