The Kadjar is Renault’s medium sized SUV which sits in between Renault’s other Crossover/SUV offerings, the compact Captur and 7-seater Koleos.
The Kadjar is competing in a highly competitive sector with other mid-sized SUVs like the Ford Kuga and the ever-popular Nissan Qashqai with which it shares the same platform thanks to the Nissan-Renault alliance.
Sharing the underpinnings of the UK’s best-selling SUV can’t be a bad thing. Nissan is one of the pioneers of the SUV/Crossover vehicle and the Nissan Qashqai was one of the first to go into mass production, so we’re talking about a tried and tested formula that has been developed, improved and fine-tuned over many years.
One of the areas where the 2020-21 Renault Kadjar trumps the Qashqai is interior space, the cabin area is spacious, passengers in the rear especially benefit with good head and leg room meaning adults should be comfortable in the back. It also offers a bigger boot too and a nice one-touch feature to quickly fold the rear seats down for extended boot storage.
In short, the Kadjar offers an excellent blend of stylish exterior looks, a solid/spacious interior, practicality, and low running costs.
The Kadjar is currently available with a TCe 140PS petrol engine, which can be paired with 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission. The engine is a great all-rounder and perfectly adept at around town driving or cruising on longer journeys.

Entry Level Renault Kadjar Iconic Trim-Level Specs
Exterior
Iconic trim gets 19-inch ‘ZEUS’ alloy wheels, body coloured/ electrically adjustable/heated and folding door mirrors, roof bars, tinted rear windows and tinted tailgate. Lights include front fog lights and halogen headlights.
Interior & Entertainment System
Inside the Iconic model gets part synthetic leather/cloth upholstery, advanced heated/ventilation control comes in the form of automatic dual zone climate control.
The 7-inch colour touchscreen infotainment system (pictured left) comes with built-in navigation and smartphone mirroring with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.
Driver Aids
Iconic models get front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, cruise control with speed limiter, lane departure warning, tyre pressure monitor, emergency brake assist and automatic parking brake. You also get automatic headlights and rain-sensing windscreen wipers.
You can add additional driver aids like blind spot monitoring and 360-degree parking sensors as an optional extra (included as standard on top grade GT Line models).
Safety & Security
Safety features include ESP (electronic stability programme with ASR (anti-skid regulation) & UCL (understeer logic control), ABS and emergency brake assist.

Renault Kadjar S Edition Trim-Level Specs
Exterior
The S Edition gets all the exterior features of the Iconic model (19-inch ‘ZEUS’ alloy wheels, body coloured/electrically adjustable/heated and folding door mirrors, roof bars, tinted tailgate and rear windows) and adds a fixed panoramic sunroof.
Lights are also upgraded to include LED headlights and LED front fog lights.
Interior & Entertainment System
The S Edition gets its own unique back fabric upholstery with blue detail stitching.
Inside includes automatic dual zone climate control for comfort and the 7-inch colour touchscreen infotainment system with built-in navigation/Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

The GT Line trim gets all the exterior features of the S Edition trim (body coloured/electrically adjustable/heated and folding door mirrors, roof bars, tinted tailgate and rear windows, fixed panoramic sunroof, LED headlights and LED fog lights) and it adds its own unique 19-inch ‘POSEIDON’ alloy wheels.
Interior & Entertainment System
For additional comfort, the GT Line model builds on the Iconic trim by adding heated front seats, full leather upholstery and leather steering wheel. You also get the addition of an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with a cushion length extender.
Automatic dual zone climate control is included (standard on all models).
You get the 7-inch colour touchscreen infotainment system with navigation/Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and the GT Line further adds a premium Bose sound system.
