2013 New Vauxhall Astra Gets A Facelift

The 2013 new Vauxhall Astra has been given a facelift and looks extremely stylish for it! Amongst some of the changes are a redesigned front bumper with a more pronounced lower grille At the rear, the license plate pocket of the five-door model has been re-designed and looks the better for it while the Sports Tourer and 5 door model get a new style bumper with chrome trim. There is also new design, eye-catching wheels across the range.

The new Astra also benefits from a host of assistance systems such as the Eye front camera with enhanced traffic sign assistant (TSA II), lane departure warning (LDW), following distance indication (FDI) and forward collision alert (FCA), also available are a rear view camera, advanced park assist and side blind spot alert.

A more comprehensive list of updates/improvements to the new 2013 Vauxhall Astra:

• All models feature a re-designed front bumper with repositioned Vauxhall bar in the upper grille, restyled lower front grille, new front indicators and an updated design of fog light (where available)
• All models benefit from newly design rear bumper with chrome-trim
• The SE and Elite models gain chrome-effect inserts in their body-coloured exterior door handles
• Various models benefit from a new interior materials and improvements including (for SE, Elite and SRi models) a new centre console with two cup holders, integrated storage, and an adjustable armrest
• New 1.7CDTi 16v (110PS and 130PS) ecoFLEX non-Start/Stop engines are introduced, with (provisional) CO2 emissions of 118g/km (hatchbacks, 119g/km Sports Tourers) and a combined economy figure of 62.8mpg
• New design 17-inch five-spoke split alloy wheels for Sri models and new steel wheel covers for Exclusiv models
• Sculpture Bronze, Phantom Grey and Deep Sky metallic new paints are available as extra-cost options

 

A number of new option packs have been released for New Astra:

• Rear View Camera Pack  which includes Navi 600 satellite nav is available as an extra-cost option on Exclusiv, SE, Elite and Sri models
• Driving Assistance Pack 1 (requires Premium Forward Lighting Pack). Includes Sight and Light Pack, Front Camera System, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition – available as extra-cost option on SE, Elite and SRi
• Winter Pack (heated front seat and a heated leather-covered steering wheel – available as an extra-cost option on Exclusiv, Tech Line, SE, Elite and Sri models

 

Other option changes include:

• New design 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and 19-inch bi-colour five-spoke alloy wheels are available as an extra cost for the Sri model
• LED daytime running lights are available as an extra cost on Exclusiv, Tech Line, SE, Elite and Sri models
