New Mazda CX-5 Ride

Inside The New Mazda CX-5

Inside the CX-5 is up there with the best when it comes to cabin space, head and leg room are very generous and the boot is extremely big and up there with class leaders offering 503 litres of space. The rear spring-loaded 40:20:40 seats fold down easily to offer a larger flat loading space should require it. Quality of materials and build inside the CX-5 is excellent and even the entry-level new Mazda CX-5 SE-L model offers very generous levels of equipment that should satisfy most people (see below for equipment details). 

New Mazda CX-5 Fuel Economy & CO2 Emissions

The most frugal diesel, the 2.2 litre (150ps) 2WD 6 speed manual model matches the cleanest class leaders offering 119g/km emissions. Fuel economy also matches class leaders (over 60mpg combined) whilst at the same time the model trumps rivals on performance, it offers a nippy 0-62mph in just over 9 seconds and a top speed of 126mph. The trade off between performance and class leading fuel economy blows its rivals out of the water and should be a very attractive proposition for new car buyers in the market for a compact SUV. 

If you prefer a petrol engine, the 2.2 litre petrol (165ps) 2WD 6 speed manual offers emissions of 139g/km and fuel economy of 47mpg (combined) acceleration is on a par with the 2.2 diesel at just over 9 seconds for 0-62mph with a top speed of 124mph. Across the range there are a number of 2WD and AWD options available with automatic and manual transmissions.
