Uk Car Discount Head to Geneva

Yes you guessed it; we’re off to Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. As we plan for our trip to the tax-free haven that is Switzerland, we’ll be sharing our journey with you. We will be departing from Manchester international airport at 6:30 on Saturday 15th March and arriving at Geneva international airport at 9:30 Switzerland time. The Geneva Motor Show runs for 10 days from the 6th March to the 16th March, so we’ll be arriving fashionably late in a bid to get the best pictures and avoid the mass crowds.

We have stocked up on memory cards for our cameras and have been practising our French, yes not many people know it but the Swiss speak French. We can’t wait to see what kind of experience the Geneva Motor Show has to offer and we’ll be sharing it all with you.

The Geneva Motor show has a very convenient location; the Palexpo, which is very close to the airport. The hotel we booked into offers free transfers to and from the airport, which is an added bonus for us. The airport is also running extra trains and shuttles buses to and from the show for a small fee.

If you just thought it was all about cars at the Geneva Motor Show, think again. The Palexpo has 6 restaurants, 2 self-service outlets and several bars to get stuck into. It even has a nursery for children aged 3 months to 6 years, just in case you need some peace and quiet or your little one just need a nap.

Now to the cars, we have compiled a short list of some of the most exciting cars at the show:

Here’s just a few of the 900 cars on show:

Lamborghini Huracan

The McLaren P1

Alfa Roméo 8C Disco Volante by Touring Superleggera

Maserati  Alfiera

Audi TT

Hyundai  PassoCorto

Honda Civic Type R

Ford Focus Facelift

Porsche Macan

McLaren 650S

Bentley Continental GT Speed

So if you’re thinking of going to the Geneva Motor Show, but think it would be way too expensive...think again. We paid just £11 each for our tickets to the Geneva Motor Show, which is fairly reasonable as motor shows go. Our flights were just £85 each for a return courtesy of Jet2.com and the hotel was £50 each for the night. So if you’re interested in cars it’s the perfect getaway for just £146 per person.
