Toyota UK announce Dealer Winter Tyre Programme

Toyota uk have announced a Winter Tyre programme through the Toyota uk dealer network and uk car discount understands this will be in the form of a stop and swop programme.

Toyota customers will be able to stop at their local Toyota dealer and purchase a new set of specially designed winter tyres for their new vehicle and leave the old set at the dealer until the harsh Winter weather clears.

The dealer network will supply the Tyres and do the Autumn/Spring change over for the customers.

Dealers will set the costs locally and a small charge will be made for storing the standard tyres if the customer needs this service.

Winter Tyres become very useful once the temperature drops below 6°C as they improve grip and provide the driver with more confidence as they can stop within much shorter distances at low temperatures.

Sounds like a really good idea but we hope the are not needed this year!
