First up is a new special edition version of the Captur, called the Iconic Nav Special Edition. This new model receives an exclusive Arctic White Pearlescent Paint Finish with a diamond black two tone body colour with a wavy blue line design over the black, to the roof and door mirrors. Painted front and rear lower bumper trim with 17-inch ‘explore alloys’ wheels with black inserts and a blue Renault badge on the centre cap.

The blue and black theme carries on throughout the interior with the part leather seat trim and steering wheel put together with a blue stitching. A new light blue tinted chrome interior touch pack helps to carry on the trend for the special edition.

Heated front seats, aluminium pedals and matte black detailing around the cabin also feature as standard on the special edition. Also included is Renault’s Grip Xtend advanced traction control system with mud and snow tyres, R-Link Evolution touch-screen infotainment and satellite navigation with European mapping, reverse parking camera as well as an electrochrome rear view mirror, all feature in the Iconic Nav Special Edition.

New changes to the current Captur models

A new 1.2-litre TCe 120 engine that can be matched to a six-speed manual gearbox is now offered from the Dynamique Nav trim level and above. This new engine/gearbox configuration provides combined fuel consumption of 51.4mpg (NEDC) with C02 emissions of 125 g/km. This provides a manual gear change alternative to the current offering of the same engine but with the EDC, dual clutch automatic gearbox.

Other changes new for 2016 include the extremely popular Flame Red metallic with a Diamond black roof being made available on the Dynamique Nav and Dynamique S Nav models for £595. To further enhance the red and black theme a red interior touch pack is available on both trim levels for £100 and adds red trim accents to the centre console, speakers and air vents.
