The New Volkswagen Golf Estate

Volkswagen has announced specifications and prices for the new model Golf Estate which is available to order prior to its launch in August.

The new VW Golf Estate will be available in three trim levels – S, SE and Sportline – and in three engine types – a 1.6litre 102 PS petrol engine, a 1.9litre 105 PS TDI turbo diesel engine plus a 2.0litre 140 PS TDI diesel engine.

Standard specification for all trim levels is good including Climatic air-conditioning, electric windows and door mirrors, ABS, Brake Assist, ESP, a radio/CD player, remote control central locking, front, side and curtain airbags plus whiplash-optimised front headrests.

With the SE trim level you also get 16" alloys, roof rails, cruise control, an alarm and coming/leaving home lighting. In addition, the Sportline trim level gives you extra chrome trim, sports seats, sports suspension plus 17" alloys.

The new VW Golf Estate provides generous storage capacity, when the seats are all in place the space is 505 litres and when the rear seats are folded flat into the floor the space then rises to 1,550 litres. It also has a handy low loading lip for practicality.

Prices start at £14,347 for the entry-level model, rising to £20,417 for the top range model.
