The New Mazda 3

The new Mazda 3 will go on sale in the UK from May and shares the same technology as the Mazda 6.

The new Mazda 3 will be available in saloon and five-door hatchback versions, bringing sharper styling and improved fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions.

When deliveries begin next month there will be a choice of two petrol engines and three diesels. Later in the year will be a turbocharged 2.3-litre 260bhp model, intended to be the flagship model.

Safety features as standard include DSC stability control and an ‘emergency stop signalling system’ which activates the hazard warning lights when sensors detect emergency braking.

Standard equipment is impressive across the range with entry-level S models offering six airbags, air conditioning and an MP3-compatable stereo.

TS adds 15-inch alloy wheels, dual zone climate control and electric rear windows.

TS2 gains larger alloys, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, heated front seat, cruise control and Bluetooth telephony.

The Sport tops the range including a sports styling kit as standard with new front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a rear spoiler.

The interior is much improved with lots of room for adults to sit comfortably in the rear, with high quality materials and an airy feel due to the large glass area.

Mazda are expecting to sell around 12,000 cars in a full year with prices ranging from £13,000 to £22,000. See UK Car Discounts latest deal on the new mazda 3.
