Sales Increase For Vauxhall, Ford

Several car manufacturers have reported good sales of models for their vehicles in March and April, as buyers rushed to get new registrations.
These models sold 25,171 units between them, with 13,903 registrations recorded for the entire moth of April making Vauxhall the only manufacturer to break into five digits for registrations as a whole.
Ford also reportedly did well, with the Ford Focus being the top-selling car in April 2006, beating its close rival the Vauxhall Astra.
The Renault Megane, Vauxhall Corsa and Ford Mondeo all featured in the top ten cars for the month, with the Vuaxhall Zafira making its debut appearance in the list.
Carkeys further reports that the MPV segment showed strong growth in the car industry for April, due to impressive performances from several cars in this sector.
