Peugeot Reduces CO2 Emissions
Published Date: 1st May 2008
Peugeot has slashed carbon dioxide emissions across its range by 4% in just 12 months. This has seen the company named the third lowest producer of emissions in an influential new report.
Compiled by industry experts Clean Green Cars, the report is one of the first to chart the progress of individual manufacturers on CO2 emissions.
And it found the average CO2 emissions across the Peugeot marque is now 141.28g/km – down from 147.59 a year ago. The Peugeot 407 saw a reduction in emissions of almost 4%. Peugeot says this places them ahead of Toyota, Vauxhall and Audi.
Jay Nagley, publisher of Clean Green Cars, says: ‘Peugeot do well because they have been pioneers in diesel technology. The new range of Peugeot diesels are among the most efficient so it’s no surprise they are reaping the benefits.’
Peugeot has a wide range of sub 121g/km cars, including the 107, 308 HDi 90 and 207 S HDi 70.
