Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept

Land Rover is gearing up to preview its new Discovery family of cars, which are due to be released next year, with the Discovery Vision Concept making its debut in New York. We know the design ideas of the Discovery 3 and 4 have been abandoned, with the new Discovery taking on a more luxurious inside and out. The very first model due to be unveiled as part of the new family is the latest version of the current Freelander.

BMW M4 Convertible

Having had the M3 saloon and M4 coupé shown in Detroit in January, BMW are ready to show off the new M4 convertible in New York. Its number three in this new generation of M-Division models to use the latest and greatest turbocharged power, in this case having to share its 3.0-litre straight six engine with the M3 and M4. Power is expected to be around 425bhp, with a mouth-watering 406lb ft of torque. Prices are set to start at £60,730 when the car hits the shelves here in the UK close to September.

BMW X4

The BMW X4 is due to go on sale in July priced from £36,590; the brand new BMW X4 is the newest addition to BMW's sought after SUV range. With excellent performing engines taken from the smaller X3, and some styling taken from the larger X6, the new X4 is up against rivals including the Range Rover Evoque and Porsche Macan.

Kia Sedona

The new Kia Sedona looks set to carry on Kia's trend of giving its models new innovative styling. The new medium-sized MPV will go on sale in the US next year, but Kia has already confirmed it won't be selling the car in the UK. The Kia is able to carry eight passengers and their luggage, Kia said the car has been designed for "adventure seekers". We are very sad not be seeing it come to the UK.

Mercedes S63 AMG coupe

These new versions of the recently released Mercedes S-class coupé will set you back £100,000 when it hits the shelves in the UK this November. The sought after four-seater gets its power from AMG's twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 engine, with a huge 577bhp and mind-blowing 663lb ft of torque. The new version also comes with Mercedes' new Magic Body Control system, as well as all new system which allows the car to lean and tilt into corners, just like the innovative Virgin trains.

Mazda MX-5

Recurring rumours have suggested Mazda will at least partially reveal the new MX-5 at the New York Motor Show. Sources have suggested a stripped-down chassis of the historically sporty new two-seater will appear on Mazda's New York show stand. The all-new MX-5 is due to go on sale early next year, featuring a new, more muscular styling and a range of 1.5 and 2.0-litre ever popular SkyActiv petrol engines.

Nissan Murano

The all new Nissan Murano will go on sale in the US next year, but Nissan bosses in Europe are still deciding whether to bring the model to the UK. Nissan said the new Nissan Murano is a "halo vehicle" for the brand, and it "previews a new design language for future Nissan production vehicles". New features such as the Murano's brand new headlights take inspiration from the breath-taking Resonance concept car of 2013.
