The new VW Golf Estate is launched at the Geneva Motor Show this month and should be on sale in the UK from the summer. Extending the Golf range, the new Golf Estate will have the largest load capacity of any Golf to date.
The new VW Golf Estate will be available in a range of advanced engines;-
- A 1.4 litre TSI 138bhp petrol engine
- A 1.6 litre FSI 100bhp petrol engine
- A 1.9 litre TDI 103bhp diesel engine
- A 2.0 litre TDI 138bhp diesel engine
Like the standard VW Golf hatchback, the new VW Golf Estate comes with a high level standard specification including – ABS, alloy wheels, 6 airbags, 'Climatic' semi-automatic air conditioning, a radio/CD player and a 3-year/60,000-mile warranty.
In terms of design, the New VW Golf Estate has a distinctive chrome grille section that is framed by deep front air vents and a newly designed tailgate to give maximum storage space in the boot. The boot has a low load lip and the rear seats fold flat into the floor to give up to 1,550 litres of space. Also included is a 12V socket, several load hooks, storage space beneath the boot floor and heating elements built into the rear windows.
