New VW Golf BlueMotion

Published Date: 24th Sep 2008

VW has recently unveiled the new model Golf BlueMotion which is set to go on sale in the UK next year after the launch of the all-new VW Golf in January 2009.

The economic and environmentally-friendly Golf BlueMotion will be able to achieve 74.3mpg whilst emitting only 99g/km of CO2.    It is powered by a highly-efficient and refined 1.6 litre TDI common rail diesel engine giving 105PS.

This Golf BlueMotion follows the success of the Polo BlueMotion and others in the VW range including the Passat and Golf Plus.  BlueMotion represents the most efficient model in each of VW’s passenger car ranges.   Cheap new Golf BlueMotion offers are available now at UK Car Discount.

Even in standard non-BlueMotion form, the new VW Golf sets new economy standards.     The entry-level diesel VW Golf will be powered by a 2.0 litre TDI 110PS common rail engine capable of achieving 62mpg on the combined cycle whilst emitting 119g/km of CO2.   This matches the economy of the current Golf BlueMotion model.
