The much anticipated New Volkswagen Golf mark VII has arrived........well almost!
A quick overview of the seventh generation international best selling Volkswagen Golf:
Prices start at £16,330 for a 1.2TSI 85PS three-door.
Opens for ordering on 18 October.
Retailers’ cars will arrive in the first week of January 2013.
On sale Monday 7 January 2013.
Three trim lines at launch, in three- and five-door versions: S, SE and GT.
BlueMotion, GTI and GTD versions will follow in mid-2013.
Best-selling 1.6TDI 105PS engine now only emits 99g/km of CO2, making it exempt from road tax and the congestion charge.
Fuel consumption has improved by an average of 14 per cent across the range.
Features a number of innovative new safety systems, many of which are fitted as standard.
Insurance ratings have improved by between two and 13 groups across the range.
The Volkswagen design team has taken the same route as many of the rival small family vehicles from Citroen, Ford, Vauxhall, and Mazda and has applied a positive evolutionary approach.
Although the Mk Seven VW Golf is slightly longer and wider than the previous model, this revised vehicle is now lighter, cleaner and more refined in just about every way than the old Mark 6 Golf.

The word is that the VW Golf GTI and GTD performance hatch vehicles will be available for mid to late 2013 so we expect lots of orders for the hot hatch versions for delivery September 2013.
