The newly designed Skoda Yeti was unveiled recently at the Frankfurt motor show to reveal new striking looks.
Skoda have designed two different and distinctive variants the new Skoda Yeti (urban model) and a Skoda Yeti Outdoor model, so the all new Yeti should appeal to a much wider audience. Whether you want a comfortable, smart looking compact SUV for the road or need a vehicle that can deal with a more demanding terrain and conditions then you should be able to find the Yeti that suits your needs.
Two Distinct Yeti Models
With both models you’ll get the high seating position and excellent visibility you’d expect from a SUV with the Outdoor model delivering off-road capabilities, a more rugged look and under-body protection, whilst the urban model is for normal road use and sports more subtle and stylish looks with body coloured bumpers and side sills.
Skoda Yeti New Looks
The new model gets four new alloy wheel designs and the front of the vehicles features a new sculpted bonnet, new stylish grille with new Skoda badge. The headlights have been redesigned with a distinctive rectangular shape taking design queues from other members of the Skoda family as do the fog lights integrated lower down into the bumper. Bi-Xenon headlights are an option for the first time with integrated LED daytime running lights.
New paint colours will be available, including four new metallic finishes; Moon-White, Jungle-Green, Metal-Grey and Magnetic-Brown.
At the back of the vehicle the changes are more subtle, there are new distinctive tail lights (with LEDs available as an option) and in line with the new Skoda family look, two cubist triangular elements alongside the new Skoda badge.

Inside the new Yeti will benefit from a number of new materials and designs with new dash trims and there’s a smart new three spoke steering wheel
The Skoda Yeti features a very clever seating system that lets you easily convert it from a five to a four seater in no time, it boasts class leading headroom in the rear and very good boot space of 405 litres with the back seats up and a generous 1,760 litres with the rear seats down.
Equipment levels are generous across the range and there the option of a new optical parking assistant (a rear-view parking camera system) and the latest generation of park assist (capable of parallel and bay parking plus Skoda’s ‘KESSY‘ (keyless entry, start and exit system). Safety features are plenty and the new Yeti got the maximum 5 stars in NCAP safety tests.
New Skoda Yeti Engines
A new range of engines will be available with manual or DSG transmission; a 1.2 litre petrol, 1.6 diesel and 2.0 diesel unit. Front wheel drive or four-wheel drive options will be available with the 4WD option exclusive to the rugged Outdoor model.
The cleanest model will be the1.6 TDi GreenLine II option available with front wheel drive and a manual gearbox, it emits just 119g/km and will be available for both the urban and outdoor Yeti models.
