The new Peugeot 4007 is due to go on sale later this summer after its recent launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2007. The new 4007 will be Peugeots’ first 4x4 vehicle.

The new Peugeot 4007 is based on the Mitsubishi Outlander and is the result of a Peugeot-Citroen collaboration with the Japanese firm. It is powered by a 2.2-litre HDi turbo diesel engine linked to a six-speed gearbox and has an advanced particulate filter to reduce pollution – it is able to use a 30% mixture of green diesel biofuel.

Two trim levels of the Peugeot 4007 will be available at launch – the SE trim level starting at £22,790 which comes with 16" alloy wheels, ABS, ESP, Brakeforce Distribution, ‘on-demand’ four wheel drive, roof bars, air-conditioning, six airbags, a trip computer, a radio/CD player which is MP3 compatible plus front fog lights.

The higher trim level, the GT, starts at £25,490 and will also feature rear parking sensors, xenon headlights, tinted rear windows, extra chrome, black leather upholstery, a six-CD autochanger plus 18" alloys.
