New Nissan Qashqai tyres reduce CO2 emissions

Published Date: 17th Oct 2016

Nissan UK is pleased to announce that new Qashqai models that have the 18 inch alloy option will now feature from new factory fitted low resistance tyres that reduce the CO2 emissions, improve efficiency and reduce the cost of running and owning a new Nissan Qashqai throughout the range.

The improved tyre design will drop the CO2 figures and improve the fuel consumption or miles per gallon. Having the 18 inch alloy version now matches the 17 inch alloy version with a saving of £130 in road tax or Vehicle Excise Duty, as it is now known.

The updated tyres now means that the DCi 110 (1.5 litre diesel 2WD manual) on the N-Connecta and Acenta with Premium Pack (Premium pack adds rear privacy glass, electric folding door mirrors, automatic folding door mirrors and crucially 18" diamond cut alloy wheels) is now 99g/km CO2 and A rated for vehicle excise duty meaning no payment is needed for the road tax whatsoever.
