The cheap new Mercedes Benz M-Class is now in ML 280CDI guise.
First launched in 1997 the latest M-Class incarnations feature a 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic gearbox and a new 4-ETS four-wheel-drive system
The new Mercedes M-Class has been lengthened by 150mm and is 71mm wider and 5mm lower than its predecessor. Mercedes claims that the new M-Class not only performs better, but that the new muscular bonnet, sloping grille and sweeping windscreen also make it look better.
Both the 2.8 and 3.2 diesel engines can already be found elsewhere in the new Mercedes range having already appeared in the CLK, C-Class, E-Class and CLS. The M-Class versions deliver 190bhp and 224bhp respectively.
Meanwhile the ML 350 offers 272bhp and the range topping 500 produces 306bhp from its brutish V8.
