The Lamborghini Huracan will be one of the many main attractions at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The Huracan has recently been at the centre of global tour for Lamborghini, put on for all their VIP clients. Having already notched up 700 pre-orders the Lamborghini Huracan has hit the ground running even before it is officially revealed at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Huracan Price
The Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 will be put in the same class as the Ferrari 458 and the McLaren MP4-12C. Pricing is set to start at around £180,000, but with some extra options this can easily rise to over £200,000. These pricy options include luxury interior enhancements, extra special paint schemes, a lifting system and improved suspension.
Huracan Engine
Now to the engine, this is a mouth-watering naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 from the Lamborghini Gallardo. It is tuned to 610PS (602bhp). To help with balance and performance, the engine is set smack bang in the middle. The new Huracan’s V10 has the direct fuel injection and also the multi-point fuel injection. It has the power to combine both of these systems to increase efficiently. And it also has the ever-popular start-stop system.
Huracan Performance
The new Lamborghini Huracan can reach speeds of 202mph(325km/h).And it has the blistering power to accelerate from 0-62mph(100km/h) in just 3.2 seconds and from 0-124mph(200km/h) in an impressive 9.9 seconds. The Huracan has a weight of 1,422kg, which represents a power to weight ratio of 2.33kg per horsepower. This model has the new Lamborghini magnetically controlled suspension system, which utilises magneto rheological fluid to quickly change how the suspension acts. This ensures performance and usability. The Huracan shares various components with the yet to be released latest generation Audi R8 allowing both cars to benefit from the Volkswagen group’s sports car technology.
Huracan Interior
The new Huracan’s interior has various personalised options for more comfort inside the car. It features a huge choice for full electric control and heating of the sports seats in addition to the normal lengthwise alignment and electric backrest. If you need satellite navigation you’ll have to reach into your pocket as it is an optional extra.
There are many aspects of the new Huracan that are technologically advanced. The car benefits from full LED lighting, which creates higher contrast at night. It also has the optional ‘’Lamborghini Dynamic Steering’’ to add to the standard power steering.
