New Ford Focus Zetec upgrades for 2017
Published Date: 31st Jan 2017
We have seen some recent improvements and adjustments to the Ford Focus range, and now Ford has confirmed the addition of the Zetec Edition to the model line-up, effective for all models built from 6th February 2017 onwards.
This is part of Ford’s big picture vehicle range strategy, they have decided to streamline and simplify the Focus model range, while adding increased levels of specification in the process.
The ever-popular Zetec model has been swapped for the new Zetec Edition model, giving you £1000 worth of goodies for just £400 extra. Many car valuation providers have estimated that there will be a higher residual value for the Zetec Edition, which would offset the price increase.
The Zetec Edition adds the following additional features, as standard;
SYNC 3 Navigation,
- Rear parking sensors,
- Privacy glass
- Cruise control
- New 16” alloy wheel design.
SYNC 3 Navigation will now be standard on the Zetec Edition, Titanium, Titanium X, ST-Line and ST models. Focus RS now receives SYNC 3 navigation with rear camera also included as standard.
The exterior styling of Focus Titanium models is also further enhanced by the addition of LED day running lights as standard.
There is another twist to Ford’s new streamline model plan and that includes the Style, Zetec, ST-Line Red/Black Editions and Focus ST-1 models all being discontinued. On a positive note the Style Econetic is still available to fleet partners. This decision is most likely based on the extra demand for this model by the Fleet side of the Car Market. The Style Econetic 1.5TDCi emits just 88g/km CO2, while delivering excellent fuel efficiency.
