The first spy photographs of the new Ford D-Max have been released

The new Ford D-Max will be built on the same platform as the all-new Ford Mondeo. As such it will also be sharing a chassis with the new Freelander and cheap new Volvo XC50, which should give it a much more car like feel than the Ford Galaxy has.

The new Ford also gives some styling pointers to how the new Ford Mondeo will look, with round headlamps and fog lights, vents on the front wheel arches and a long steep front windscreen.

The concept model, which debuted at the Geneva Motorshow, also featured remote control motorised sliding seats, built in arm rests for all passengers and integrated luggage trolleys. The sixth and seventh seats are expected to be optional stow away features that can be laid flat in the boot.
