New Citoren C5 Added To Range

A New Citroen C5 has been added to the French made range and the manufacturer hopes that its improved equipment levels will temp buyers looking for a cheap new family car.

The headlights have also been upgraded and are now "auto-illuminating", while the automatic windscreen wipers switch themselves on as the rain starts to fall.

Inside the cheap new Citroen C5 and all-round electric windows have been added to the standard spec, which currently includes automatic air conditioning, traction control, remote central locking and a theft alarm.

The standard seven airbags also and to the peace of mind offered by the new Citroen C5's five star Euro NCAP crash rating, while an insurance group rating of 8 make it a cheap new car to own and drive.

The new Citroen C5 will be available as an estate or hatchback, and will receive the same engine options as the Citroen C5 LX.

The 1.8 litre 16 valve petrol version delivers 117bhp to the front wheels which can haul the C5 hatchback from 0-60 in 11 seconds, and up to a top speed of 122mph.

With similar performance figures the 1.6 diesel power plant will also deliver 50 miles to the gallon.
