New Car Sales Continue to rise in China

New Car sales in China rose 11% in May compared to last year, the biggest growth margin so far in 2016.
Automotive Manufacturers sold just about 1.8 million cars, this included sedans, sport-utility vehicles and minivans. They were sold into the world's largest auto market last month and the figure of 1.8 million was up from 1.61 million units in 2015. These figures came from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

The Chinese car industry has been the biggest on the planet measured by automobile unit production since 2008. Since 2009 annual production of new cars in China was higher than that of the European Union and exceeded that of the United States and Japan combined.
The 11% rise is astonishing when compared with the 6.5% year-over-year a month earlier and the 6.8% year-over-year rise in the first 3 months of the year.
China's combined sales of passenger and commercial vehicles totaled 2.1 million units in May, up 9.8% from a year earlier, the association said.
