New 2014 Seat Leon Cupra

The latest new hot hatch version of the extremely popular Seat Leon hatchback could be on sale early 2014.

The new 2014 Seat Leon Cupra should be available in a 5 door or sleeker 3 door option and may also be available in an estate version.

Yet to be officially confirmed bit it’s widely though that the Leon Cupra will trump the VW Golf GTi with it’s 2.0 litre TSi engine outputting 261 bhp. Power will be sent through the front wheels using a limited-slip differential, like the one found on the Golf GTI Performance Pack. If that doesn’t impress you it’s thought Seat are looking at the possibility of a Seat Leon Cupra R model which will boast closer to 300 bhp and be capable of doing 0-60mph in around 5 seconds.

Styling on the new Leon Cupra is going to be sporty and distinguish it from the standard hatchback models but will not be ‘over the top’ according to Seat who also stated that ride comfort would not have to be sacrificed in favour of sporty handling.
