New 2014 Nissan X-Trail

Nissan have recently launched the all-new 2014 Nissan X-Trail at the Frankfurt Motor Show early because it is on sale in the USA from November 2013. The new 2014 Nissan X-Trail will be available in UK showrooms summer 2014.

The engines and fuel economy have yet to be announced but the car has had a weight reduction and sports improved aerodynamics so it will benefit from improved efficiency on the road. We are expecting more details in the next few months, and pricing information will be announced closer to the UK Release date. The base model will most probably cost around £27,000, to help it better compete with its rivals. At the same time as enhancing its predecessor’s go-anywhere credibility, new Nissan 2014 X-Trail takes most of its inspiration from Nissan’s market-leading crossovers - Qashqai, Juke and Murano - to create the ultimate, all weather, highly capable, modern family vehicle.

The versatility pioneered in the old model goes even further in new 2014 Nissan X-Trail thanks to a new smart and innovative double load floor providing flexible storage options. The cargo storage area can be portioned out into upper and lower areas in a very simple move. In its highest position, the board can hold around 10 kilos of luggage, or 75 kilos in its lowest position. This separate storage solution enables the user to fit, for example, a stroller and large sized items below while creating a fully usable higher load surface for smaller, lighter items.

The new 2014 Nissan X-Trail’s Practical touches include rear side doors that open nearly 90 degrees – considerably wider than normal – This allows easy access but also to ease the loading of a child’s safety seat. The Middle row seat comfort has been improved thanks to some extra knee room generated by the slightly longer wheelbase and the front seats having  a little more heavily sculpted seat backs.

This new model Nissan X-Trail has the latest generation satellite navigation, which can integrate with Google to reveal a host of useful information from petrol stations to the weather conditions in your area, restaurants, hotels and other points of interest. The very popular send-to-car function can let drivers plan a trip at home and send it to their in-car Nissan Connect at the tap of a button. This system has Bluetooth, audio streaming and mobile phone integration as well as Aux-in and USB slots.

The new Nissan X-Trail is going to be the first model to have the latest generation Nissan Connect in-car navigation, information and entertainment system. Customers can also benefit from a versatile suite of assistance features that make up the new X-Trail’s Nissan Safety Shield system.
The New Nissan Connect is at the very front of Nissan’s engineering innovation and will be included on the new 2014 Nissan X-Trail. In the latest form, Nissan Connect has developed to offer new Smartphone connectivity, so owners keep connected to everything in the outside world wherever their journey may take them. Also it sports access to a wide range of apps like music, social networking, entertainment and travel through a nice, interactive 7-inch colour touch screen, the new Nissan Connect is a great fit for the new 2014 Nissan X-Trail.

New engineering innovation will allow the new 2014 Nissan X-Trail to lead the class in terms of engine efficiency thanks to a little downsizing. It reduces power sapping friction in its drivetrains, new Nissan X-Trail provides a new level of performance from the latest generation of downsized engines, providing the speed of a much bigger power plant with the beneficial economy and emissions of a smaller one.

The latest details of the new Nissan X-Trail engine and model line-up are to be released closer to the cars release date in the UK later this year.
