MG Rover Specialists Open 200th Service Centre

XPart has announced the opening of its 200th AutoService centre in the UK.

As a supplier of MG Rover parts since 2001, XPart claims that the AutoService chain is fast-becoming an important part of the market as it caters for the vast majority of MG Rover owners who have been otherwise overlooked.

"After the collapse of MG Rover, we quickly identified that MG Rover owners still wanted to have their cars serviced by factory-trained technicians using genuine parts," said XPart marketing director Charles Binns.

"The AutoService centres deliver exactly this, and the speed at which we have established the network demonstrates that our proposition is highly valued by motorists," he added.

Richard Cort, former chairman of the MG Rover dealer council, has been reported in the Financial Times expressing optimism for the former Longbridge-based company.

He has said that Nanjing Automobile, the Chinese company that purchased MG Rover, could be set to begin supplying cars within the next two years, with interest from former dealers who wish to sell the new MG 2007 in the British market once more.
